MUBs student raped and killed

Just a few weeks after Ojok (RIP) was murdered by a mob at Makerere University, death has yet again claimed another student.

Mudondo Beatrice, a second year MUBs student, was found dead alongside the railway road around Kataza, a few metres from the University. Reports say that Beatrice was first raped before being murdered and her body left lifeless.

The deadly spot where she was killed from has been used by hooligans as a target spot over the years. Students have been robbed, clobbered and killed from the same spot. And over time, students have cried for security along that dark spot but it has all proved futile. When darkness inks the sky, the spot becomes too deadly for the students to walk through.

Mudondo’s death comes at a time when students are doing their final exams and this could have an effect them. A sombre, sad and cold mood envelopes the University. Students walk in fear, uncertain whether they will see another day. Rest In Peace, Beatrice.
