The highly anticipated “Best of Radio and Weasel” concert did not live up to its billing. Many revelers were a tad disappointed after the big names that were advertised for the show — Bebe Cool, Juliana and Desire Luzinda — failed to show up.
While Desire Luzinda’s reasons for not attending Radio and Weasel’s concert are obvious (she had a concert in Dubai on the same day), Bebe Cool and Juliana’s reasons remain unclear.
Sources have suggested that Bebe Cool and Juliana could have snubbed the concert over unfulfilled obligations (which involve money) on part of the promoter.
Meanwhile, Bebe Cool who attended Isaiah Katumwa’s jazz concert that was happening a few meters away from the Radio and Weasel concert at Kampala Serena hotel also revealed another reason.
Bebe revealed that he attended the Jazz concert to learn from Isaiah Katumwa who was celebrating 20 years of his music career as he also gears up for his concert at the same venue.
Speaking after the concert, he said, “Thanks for showing love to my brother Isaiah Katumwa. I am not here because I lacked what to do, but I am here to learn. People like Bebe learn from people like Isaiah.”
