Musician Jose Chameleone has maintained his position as Africa’s number six most famous musician. According to the latest report released by the African Economist, the Wale Wale star comes sixth on a list that was topped by world music star Akon but dominated by Nigerians.
Chameleone’s fame is unquestionable. He has been on top of his game since he started his music career way back in 2000 releasing several hit songs year after year.
Apart from doing music, Chameleone has also been involved in many worldwide humanitarian and peace drives with the most recent one being the United Nations’ campaign to lure Lord’s Resistance Army(LRA) rebels out of the ‘bush’ and come back home. He released a song titled “Come Home” that saw him travel to the war zone in Central Africa Republic with the U.N and U.S Army officials to talk one-on-one with the rebels, something that gained him recognition from media agencies all over the world.
It should be noted that Chameleone was also named number ten richest musician in Africa in a report that was released early this year.
