Express fc 1

By James Robert Kayindi

Having thumped KCCA FC 3-0 at the Phillip Omondi stadium last week, the ‘Red Eagles’ return home to entertain Police fc at the Wankulukuku stadium in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL).

Despite a poor goal difference of -2 for Express, they will be eager to level points with the Cops who are 6th on the table with 37 points. Express are 8th on the log with 34 points.

Police managed to condemn Express to a 2-1 defeat during their first leg clash at Kavumba with Umar Kasumba scoring a brace.

Elsewhere, 16-time record champions SC Villa will be in a fight to keep their title hopes alive when they travel to the Bombo Military stadium where they will be taking on army side Simba Sports Club.

Villa are in great form having made it to the finals of the Uganda Cup after beating Bul fc 1-0 on Sunday evening and Simba’s head coach Moses Basena will be up for another challenge as he continues with his efforts to save the club from possible relegation.

Simba are just three points above relegation in 11th spot with 28 points while Villa are still second with 57 points.
