Ugandan socialite Zari who is based in South Africa has spoken out against the ongoing xenophobic violence in parts of South Africa. Her comments come following a recent unrest in parts of South Africa where locals have launched an assualt on foreigners accusing them of taking jobs and opportunities away from them.
According to multiple media reports, the latest violence followed comments by Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini, an influential figure among the Zulu ethnic group, that foreigners should “pack their bags” and leave.
Zari cautioned her friends and fans in Johannesburg to take care as the violence is expected to spread to that part of the country.
“Good morning fam….if your around Johannesburg take care a message has been passed. Attacks on foreigners are expected. Stay safe,” Zari tweeted.
“Watched a clip a lady burning with her 3 kids tied 2gther with tyres in Durban SA . How barberic in the name of not wanting foreigners,” she added.
