Sad news were announced early this morning when the Free State Stars Football Club released a press report about the passing away of Richard Henyekane.
The Stars player was killed in a car crash in Bethlehem, Free State. The football club stated that he was traveling with 4 other passengers and was the only one to lose his life in the tragic accident. Henyekane’s death comes just 4 months after the sudden passing of his brother, Joseph.
The striker made 17 appearances in the Absa Premiership this season, and also earned 9 caps for Bafana Bafana since making his debut at the age of 26.
