After a winless run of three games in the league, table leaders Vipers returned to their winning ways with a convincing 2-0 victory against relegation strugglers Entebbe fc.
Goals from Michael Mutyaba and Saddam Juma who netted from the spot were enough to see off Entebbe who came into the game on the back of beating Lweza 2-0. Entebbe finished the game with 10 men on the pitch after Mathias Waiswa was sent off for unsportingly characters.
The victory keeps Vipers top of the 16 team log with 49 points from 22 matches and 7 points ahead of second placed SC Villa who have played two games less.
Elsewhere, at Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku, home side Lweza fc were condemned to yet another defeat by army side Simba who beat them 1-0. Ivan Lwanga scored the only goal of the evening that left Lweza’s future in the league in jeopardy.
At Kavumba Recreation stadium in Wakiso, home side Soana fc suffered a 1-0 defeat by Sports Club Victoria University (SC VU). Team captain Martin Mpuuga scored the only goal of the game just four minutes to recess.
Victoria University are now in 9th place with 27points and while Soana are in 13th place on 22points.
