Golden Band’s Catherine Kusasira has denied receiving shs 2M from Iryn Namubiru as she claims. This comes a few days after Iryn accused Kusasira for ‘chewing’ her shs 2M that she had earlier received from her on behalf of Lyto Boss, the songwriter behind Anjagala song.
In a recent interview, the Nkola ya Taxi singer indicated that Iryn never paid her a single coin like she has being saying on different media platforms. “Lyto Boss had earlier written the song for me but my manager KT rejected it because it doesn’t suit my audience, then I decided to take the demo of the song to Iryn since it suited her voice. She however directed me to her former manager Thaddeus, who also refused the song after listening to it and I also informed Lyto Boss who decided to record the song himself,” Kusasira said.
She further added, “a few weeks back Iryn informed me she was in studio recording the same song and wanted Lyto Boss’ number yet I already knew that her manager rejected the song and so there was no need of giving it to her.”
However Kusasira indicated that upon realizing that Lyto Boss had released the same song that’s when Iryn came up to claim that Farouk of Fusion Band had paid her shs 2million for the song yet I have never received a single penny from this guy.
Efforts to contact Farouk over the matter were fruitless.
We shall keep you posted.
