Emerging details indicate that the late Bbaale Francis had earlier been referred to India for further treatment by Mulago hospital before he passed on. The veteran news anchor is said to have earlier been discharged from Mulago hospital because of his complex situation.

The doctors at Mulago had referred him to Appolo hospital in India for more comprehensive treatment and medical attention.

Apparently it would cost him close to $45,438 which Bbaale did not have at the time. Franscis and friends had started up a fundraising project in centenary bank but unfortunately he passed on before the funds were accumulated.
