On Monday this week, four Uganda premier league fixtures were postponed by the League board secretariat due to Under-23 engagements. Clubs whose matches were postponed are those that were affected by the summoning of the national team Under-23 players that are in preparations for the upcoming All-Africa games qualifiers in which Uganda will be playing Mozambique this weekend.

“We are in receipt of the final squad for the U23 national team players going for residential camp effective Monday 16/02/2015. Accordingly, we have invoked Article 19(22) of the FUFA Competitions Rules 2014/2015 and postponed the following league matches. The new dates for these matches shall be communicated later. Other games will be played as per the fixtures earlier released. We regret the inconvenience that may have been caused by these sudden changes,” the league manager, Paul Kabaikaramu said.

The team will be flying out any time soon to Mozambique.

The Postponed Matches are:

M#121 Bright Stars Vs Vipers
M#123 Lweza Vs Police
M#125 SCVU Vs Kiira Young
M#126 Soana Vs Express
