AcaciaMr. Gad Ntirenganya is now a proud owner of a Toyota Premio which he won at the just concluded My Acacia Christmas Bonanza. The five week promotion came to a climax today after twenty shortlisted customers were given the chance to pick a balloon that had the winning car coupon at the mall. Over 12,000 raffles were registered during the promotion.

My Acacia Christmas Bonanza had three aims; to bring alive the Christmas spirit in the mall, to reward its customers and to give back to charity.“We felt it important that our loyal customers who have supported us throughout the year can have the opportunity to benefit from this campaign” said Paul Mwirigi, Head of Marketing for Knight Frank, which manages The Acacia Mall.

A consolation prize of a HERO Dawn Motorbike was won by Christine Kasule Mulimba. This motorbike was courtesy of ASTARC Motors, the sole distributors of HERO Motorbikes in Uganda. For every Ugx 30,000 spent at the Acacia Mall a customer received one raffle ticket to enter a draw to get a chance to win a car or a motorbike. Four charities were earmarked to benefit from My Acacia Christmas Bonanza AKIBA and AGAPE Homes (being supported by 40 days over 40 smiles foundation), ABATO Children’s Home in Mpigi and Kids Of Africa.

“Donation points were set up in the mall for shoppers to give back to the community and we encouraged each and every one to make it a Christmas to remember for the less fortunate in our society”, Paul Mwirigi continued. During the month long campaign exciting weekend events were held to ensure that the shoppers don’t have to travel upcountry or out of town to enjoy Christmas festivities.

There were special performances by Autumn Studios, Mavuno Kampala and KULEA Band, Ivanoz Salsa Group and a special Christmas Bazaar spear headed by Nakumatt Acacia Branch. The campaign started on 27th November and ended on 3rd January, 2015. A special Shop, Spin and Win instant competition was also part of the promotion where customers who had registered for the raffle were able to win instant gift items from tenants of Acacia Mall.

The Acacia Mall, which is set to celebrate one year of operations on 14th February, is the ultimate lifestyle destination that offers customers a distinct range of retail, entertainment, fitness, health and culinary experiences.
