I must confess that I was among the many Ugandans that criticized the judges of Miss Uganda 2014 for crowing Leah as the ultimate winner of the beauty pageant. Honestly, I thought she really didn’t deserve to be our Miss Uganda, but as time goes on, am realising that I was wrong.
From reading her publications, comments and status updates on social media and other platforms, I have come to discover that Leah Kalanguka is an intelligent woman who deserved to represent us in the Miss World pageantry, though, unfortunately she did not win.
Well, my point of criticism was all about beauty but I think it’s high time I shifted blame from the judges to paparazzi and her makeup artiste that brought Kalanguka to us in that perspective.
May be they didn’t get the best of her pauses like what the international media did or is she becoming beautiful each day that goes by because she has started to get some dime on her?
