Listening to this reggae-dancehall-sque tune blaring through the speakers, you get the feeling that a comeback for the celebrated wordsmith is imminent. If screams are anything to go by every time the Dj Drops this fast rising banger in the clubs, then we have a hit on our hands.
Many pretenders have graced the dancehall circuit in Uganda but it’s only befitting to say that the King of Luga-Raga himself, Rabadaba is the only one who does this genre justice.
Rabadaba decided to venture out of his comfort zone on this tune with a more relaxed delivery contrary to his usual fast witty style and he is readily assisted by the equally revived Don Mc Kapaata of the Tobimanyi Fame.
The musical chemistry goes ahead to remind us of the abundance of talented lyricists saturated in the country.
In the song, Rabadaba seems to go a little lovey dovey in a laidback style as he pours out his heart to a woman he fancies with lyrics like”Give me your love portion Nebwe kaba katono nze mpako”. Its such catchy lyrics that that will grip the listener and compel the listener to dance and sing along to the tune. Don Mc arrives comfortably to belt out some hip hop lines to crown a beautiful song.
The song produced by the very talented beat maker AndyMusik of Buddies is enjoying massive airplay on radios and television alike and it has been viewed by many critics as the song to catapult Rabadaba back to stardom.
And after courting controversy for quite some time, what better way can he remind his adoring fans of the talent that made him a darling to them. Good Luck Rabadaba!
