It’s now with no doubt that Davido and Diamond Platnumz are feuding. It started when Diamond was credited for Number one song that featured Davido while Davido went unmentioned. Davdo later revealed that he was surprised his name did not come up anywhere in Platnumz speech as he received the awards. The two artistes have since not seen eye to eye with both singers opening up Social Media wars.
Diamond Platnumz is the latest to rant about the beef. While marking Tanzania’s independence yesterday, the singer sent a message to his collegue Davido which read: “Instead of artistes being role models and agents of unity, bringing our countries together to build a strong, prosperous peaceful continent, Africa. We are the first to instigate hate and regionalism. In this manner are we really building Africa? What is our fate? Continuing divide and rule inherited from the colonial era… Anyway, Happy Independence day Tanzania.”
Davido who landed back in Nigeria yesterday after his concert in Uganda declined to proceed to Tanzania where promoters called him for concerts.
Platnumz has continued to insist his song with or without Davido would still have won the awards.
