Cindy has apologized to her fans for not performing at the recent Western Media Awards ceremony that took place in Mbarara on Sunday, putting the blame on the organizers of the event.
Cindy delivered her apology in a statement she posted on social media: “This message goes out to all my friends and fans in Mbarara who attended the western media awards where I was scheduled to perform last night (7th-dec 2014).I was in Mbarara by 7pm and ready to perform by 9:30pm. My team and I entered Kakyeka stadium at 1am to perform but due to breach of contract by the promoters there I therefore failed to perform. I hereby apologise for their unprofessionality”.
According to the contract they had made, the promoters had paid a booking fee to the singer and had agreed to clear her remaining balance before she stepped on stage something they failed to fulfill forcing Cindy to abandon the performance.
Our reliable sources have also informed us that Bebe Cool was the only artiste paid to perform and others are still cursing after the promoters disappeared before the climax of the event.
