The Uganda premier league continues today with Police F.C hosting table leaders Vipers at the Kavumba Recreational stadium in Wakiso at 4:30pm.

Police F.C were held to a goalless draw last week on Friday by struggling Entebbe F.C leaving them 7th on the table with 13 points from 9 games.

At the command of Angelo Lonyesi, Police will be hoping to arrest Golola’s Vipers and condemn them to their first loss of the season.

“We started off well but somehow, things haven’t gone our way in the past few weeks. I know it’s a difficult game against Vipers but we have to do what is possible to get a decent result,” Lonyesi told Kawowo.

Having been held to a 2-2 draw by Uganda revenue authority (URA) last week on Friday during their away visit at the Metah stadium in Lugazi, Vipers hope to return to their winning ways if they are to maintain top spot on the Uganda premier league table. Kalanda Frank scored a brace for URA while the visitors equalised through team skippers Vincent Kayizzi and Joseph Mpande to pick a point that left them top of the 16-team log with 20 points from 8 games.

Meanwhile, coach Edward Golola will trust his fighters to gather maximum points as they welcome back the enterprising Faruok Miya who missed their clash against URA due international commitments with the Uganda Cranes.

“My boys showed character in the 2-2 draw with URA FC and I expect more from them when we play Police FC. We have respect for all opponents but we are afraid of none,” says Golola.
