Bakri Akay

By Lee Osbourne

Singer Akay has finally revealed why he parted ways with Bakri. Akay had earlier teamed up with Bakri in a duo that collapsed within a few months even when both were under the Team No Sleep group managed by Jeff Kiwanuka.

In a recent interview, Akay said that the two agreed to dissolve the duo after doing a few songs together to each concentrate on doing solo projects. He further added that he separated with his singing partner under mutual understanding and will still work together in future.

The two are already working on their solo projects and have even released songs, one being Kidandali by Akay and the other Nkwata by Bakri that seem to be doing well.

Akay is still singing under Team No Sleep though Bakri left the group after his father warned him to quit the group.
