Marrakesh, the Moroccan city, will play host to Group J’s 2014 World Cup qualifier between Senegal and Uganda in September.

The game will be played at Marrakesh Stadium under floodlights. According to the Fifa official website, it will kick off at 8.00pm (Morocco Time) and 10pm (Ugandan Time) on Saturday, September 7.

Earlier communication had confirmed the game would be in Morocco but had not zeroed in on the host city and stadium.

Senegal were banned from playing their home games in their country following crowd violence in a 2013 Afcon qualifier against Ivory Coast.

Uganda need victory to progress to the final round of qualifying to Brazil while Senegal, who lead the group on nine points – one ahead of Uganda – will do with a draw.

Cranes’ last visit to the same venue in 2011 saw Uganda edge Morocco 1-0 and draw goalless with Sudan in the LG Cup.
