Jemimah Kansiime also known as Panadol Wa Basajja has been sent back to Luzira prison after she was brought back in court morning. Jemimah and Producer Didi were arrested and charged in courts of law of unlawfully production of pornography last month.
While appearing before the magistrate at Makindye court, prosecution stated that Didi and Kansiime unlawfully produced, trafficked in, imported, exported, sold and abetted pornography contrary to the new anti-pornography law. The offence is punishable by a 10 year jail term or a fine of Ushs 50million.
Panadol denied the allegations again but failed to produce sureties to secure her freedom on bail and was consequently remanded back to Luzira to serve her one year jail term.
Meanwhile, Didi who was sentenced to a four year jail term, managed to pay a fine and was freed on bail just a few days back.
