Airtel Uganda Partners with the 50+ Organization.

Airtel Uganda partnered with the 50 Plus Organization to celebrate the past, present and plan for the future. At a stunning event held at the Lugogo UMA Show Ground – Multipurpose Hall, people from all walks of life came together to celebrate being 50 years of age and above.

The event was graced by the former Prime Minister of Uganda Hon. Apollo Nsibambi. Other guests included many influential businessmen, ministers and former members of parliament.

At the event, Hon. Apollo Nsibambi launched the 50+ Magazine which is meant to showcase the works of the 50+ Organization. Airtel Uganda pledged to give more support to such Organizations through its Corporate Social Responsibility programs.

The event also had a variety of performances from legendary iconic artistes like; Hadija Namale, Suizzman, Serukenya, Tony Senkebeje, Frank Mbalire, Trockets Band and Afrigo Band.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Dennis Kakonge the Airtel Legal and Regulatory Director said; “The face you have at age twenty-five is the face God gave you, but the face you have after fifty, is the face you have earned. All of us have earned the opportunity to be here. Airtel Uganda recognizes and respects senior citizens in all categories. We shall continue to support them through our various Corporate Social Responsibility activities.”

The former Prime Minister, Prof. Apollo Nsibambi applauded Airtel for showing support and commitment to the community through its CSR programs and he encouraged people to support the elderly.
