Uganda’s music industry is very turbulent and it’s no surprise that most upcoming artistes die in their infancy. The established artistes don’t make it any easier for the young artistes. It’s not news that upcoming musicians have always been forced to ‘buy’ collabos from established musicians; it’s a public secret. However, its news if someone is asking an outrageously big sum for a collabo.
Bebe Cool allegedly revealed he would do a song with any upcoming artiste if they are willing to pay him Ugx 20 Million for the audio and an extra 20 Million if they want to shoot the video with him as well bringing the lump sum for the package to Ugx 40million.
The information was disclosed by Peng Peng, an ardent Bebe Cool fan and entertainment critic. “Just talked to Bebecool and i asked him incase an upcoming artist wanna do a song with you how much money would that person pay?”He said since most upcoming artists want Hitsongs and they only turn to us for fame,Omuntu yena ayina 20million+ ajjemuwe hit song ya Audio and that person must pay me 20 millions to feature in that video,” he revealed.
However, Bebe Cool further revealed that talented artistes don’t necessarily have to pay him but ought to treat him with uttermost respect and they could clinch a collabo at zero cost.
