There has been some pretty crazy goal celebrations over time.
Temuri Ketsbaia, for example, left his mark on the Premier League by famously taking off his shirt and furiously kicking the advertisement boards.
Then there was that guy who wanted to headbutt the dugouts. Yeah, weird one.
However, Edinson Cavani’s gesture when he converted a penalty for Paris Saint-Germain in a Ligue 1 match wasn’t too crazy.
In fact, it was fairly subtle. Well, maybe not in the eyes of the French official in charge of the game at RC Lens.
The striker, a reported target for Arsenal and Liverpool, pointed an imaginary gun as part of his victory cheer, thus earning him the most bizarre yellow card of his career.
Baffled, like everyone else, Cavani questioned the referee and put his hands on him… earning him a second yellow card within 10 seconds and sending him for the proverbial early bath.
Makes you wonder what would have happened to Ketsbaia in Ligue 1…
