Uganda Cranes Full Squad Named Ahead Of Togo Clash

Uganda cranes assistant coach, Kefa Kisala has named the Cranes squad that will face off with Togo on match day three of the 2015 Morocco AFCON qualifiers. During the weekly press conference today at the FUFA house in Mengo, Kefa Kisala came out to represent head coach Milutin Sedrojevic aka ‘Micho’ who is away in Egypt attending the all Africa course symposium, according to information coming from the federation (FUFA).

The 27-man squad includes fresh faces as well as the old wines that missed the earlier fixtures against Ghana and Guinea Bissau in Group E. Among the new faces are Baker Lukoya, a midfielder from Kiira young, Fred Nkata (a left back) and Karim Ndugwa, the on-form SC Villa striker who has scored thrice in three Uganda premier league opening matches.

Emma Okwi of Simba FC (Tanzania) together with Mzie Dan Sserunkuma of Kenyan champions, Gor Mahia are the old wines returning to the squad after missing the earlier Cranes’ Group E fixtures against Ghana and Guinea.

According to Kefa Kisala, the team will kick-off its training on Saturday, 4th October 2014 at Namboole Stadium.

Goal Keepers: Denis Onyango (Mamelodi Sundowns), Robert Odongkara (St.George), Ismail Watenga (Vipers), Benjamin Ochan (SCVU)

Defenders: Denis Iguma (SCVU), Martin Kizza (Tusker), Godfrey Walusimbi (Gor Mahia), Fred Nkata (SC Villa), Murushid Jjuuko (SCVU), Andrew Mwesigwa (Ordabasy), Isaac Isinde (Electricity), Savio Kabugo (SCVU) and Richard Kasagga (KCC)

Midfielders: Allan Kyambadde (Vipers), Geofrey Baba Kizito (Gor Mahia), Aucho Khalid (Tusker), Moses Oloya (Binh Doung), Tonny Mawejje (Valur), Luwagga Kizito (Sporting Covilha), Brian Majwega (KCC), Baker Lukooya (Kiira Young)

Strikers: Geofrey Massa (University of Pretoria), Brian Umony (KCC), Yunus Sentamu (AS Vita), Emmanuel Okwi (Simba), Karim Ndugwa (SC Villa) and Dan Sserunkuma (Gor Mahia)
