Ugandan Artistes to Perform at the Independence Celebration in UK

As Uganda prepares for the 51st independence celebrations, Ugandans in the diaspora are also planning to commemorate the day. Several Ugandan artistes based in the diaspora particularly in the UK have been lined up to perform and thrill masses in the first ever Uganda independence celebration party to be held in Manchester scheduled early next month.

According to reliable sources, the event which is organised by Connect Radio Uganda has lined up singers like Fada Pest, Gento, Kuklee and Milly Namuksa as guest performers of the night. Others expected artistes include Leah Habz, CastaP, Cliff, Barbara, Mary Dan, Ivy Namala.

The celebration will be held at at the St. Alphonsus Parish, Ayres road Old Trafford M16 167 GP on the 04th of October, 2014. Organisers of the event have also revealed they will avail local dishes and drinks such as “tonto” and Uganda Waragi.
