CRISTIANO RONALDO has told Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City that he wants £500,000-a-week to return to the Premier League.
Ronaldo is believed to have grown increasingly unsettled at Real Madrid having seen some of the club’s best players depart every summer since he arrived.
And reports yesterday suggested that United may have already made a preliminary enquiry about re-signing the Portuguese star.
But fresh reports from Germany this morning claim that Ronaldo is not willing to return to England at any cost.
Indeed, it is said that the 29-year-old wants a staggering half-a-million pounds every week in wages to grace the Premier League again.
Such a salary would dwarf even United’s top earners – with Radamel Falcao and Wayne Rooney currently earning in the vicinity of £300,000-a-week at Old Trafford.
And it remains to be seen whether United – not to mention Chelsea or City – are willing to meet the former Sporting Lisbon star’s demands, particularly in light of Financial Fair Play restrictions.
