You have all heard about the flopped shows involving Jamaican singer Chris Martin, today, we tell you the truth behind the flops and how his promoter David Kibuuka of One Nation Entertainment duped him.
It all started when the ‘Cheaters’ singer arrived at Entebbe International Airport last week. Things started going wrong at this very point. Chris was in shock when he found out that 15 of his crew had been booked in a different hotel from his. He literally fought with the promoter to have them all in one hotel.
The Jamaican singer then headed to the hotel and settled in. On the day of the performance, he was never picked to come for the show that was supposed to take place at Freedom City Mall along Entebbe road. He remained at the hotel with his crew only to be told that the Freedom city show had been cancelled. The singer couldn’t believe what he was hearing and he lost it at this point, calling his promoter off the hook.
David managed to convince him that he would grace another big show on the weekend at the beach. Aero beach was selected and David never paid for the venue. When the show flopped too, the promoter disappeared without paying the owner of the beach and without paying Chris Martin his 52,000,0000shs that they had agreed upon.
Chris and his crew combed the streets of Kampala looking for David, but they couldn’t find him. At this point, Police was involved. Now, word has it that the promoter could have flown out. A dejected Chris is now struggling with hotel dues as he looks for David to clear his part of the bargain.
