Kiira Young have named Coach Paul Nkata as the new head coach as we approach the kick-off of the new season 2014/15. Nkata replaces Coach Haruna Keba who allegedly resigned from his job as the Kiira Young FC coach following a series of disagreements with the club’s directors and other stake holders about the management of the team.
Paul Nkata led URA last season to the championship of the Uganda Cup and finished third in the league before being sacked by his employers. Ali Ssekatawa informed the media that the services of Nkata who had joined the club in April 2013 had been terminated together with team doctor Jack Walugembe.
Nkata was replaced by Coach Alex Isabirye who returned to the tax collector club for his second spell.
Kiira Young who finished 8th last season will hope for some silver wear after naming the experienced Paul Nkata as coach. The former Cranes midfielder is an experienced coach who has managed some of Uganda’s most successful clubs like Express FC and the famous SC Villa as the head coach not forgetting his recent spell at URA where he was sacked in June this year. Given his strong back ground in Ugandan football, his new side will be greatly counting on him to lead them to some silver wear.
