The 9th season of M-Net and Endemol-produced show, Big Brother Africa, has been temporarily moved forward due to the inferno that damaged a substantial part of the production’s live studio, Sasani Studio.

Although there has been no information on how the inferno, which engulfed the studio on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, started, the production company, Endemol South Africa and M-Net have had to battle multiple production challenges in the studio which is situated on Johannesburg road, Highland North in South Africa.

At the moment, the organisers are working hard to ensure the show kicks off in no time as the inferno has set the show’s commencement back by at least a week. About Sasani Studios Sasani Studios is a broadcast & post-production facility located inside the Sasani Studios Complex in Highland North, Johannesburg and caters for all segments of television broadcasts and the post-production market.

It’s a multi-faceted production company with a depth of knowledge and experience having been around since the early 1980s and has over the years housed the recording of E.tv’s daily dramas – Scandal and Rhythm City.

Sasani Studios was the technical partner to South Africa’s first and largest running soap opera, Egoli, filming for over 14 years and is currently the technical partners to Scandal and Rhythm City.

Sasani Studios is responsible for delivering Big Brother Africa, which is an internationally renowned, 24/7 reality show running continuously for 91 days across multiple broadcast channels into Africa, for the past four years.

Sasani Studios, with two studios (A and B), is a platform that offers television and film studios, broadcast facilities, production offices, equipment rentals and a wide spectrum of production and postproduction services. One of the studios’ major clients is Endemol South Africa and M-Net Africa, producers of the Big Brother Africa show.
