BigEye.ug has shockingly learnt that performance of Ugandan artistes at North America Association convention hangs in balance as the US Embassy denies them traveling Visas to US.
A number of Ugandan artistes are lined up to entertain guests at the 26th Uganda North America Association convention in San Diego California, starting 29-31st August at the Hyatt Regency LA Jolla, but they might not show up after all.
Among them is comedian Alex Muhangi who is the official MC, Anne Kansiime, singers Remah Namakula and Allan Tonix.
With just two days to the convention BigEye.ug has learnt that it will be a miracle for the Ugandans to show up, because their visas and work permits to the US have not been approved yet.
UNAA is the largest formal association of Ugandans in the diaspora. The objectives of the organization are to “Promote the Social, Cultural and Economic Development of the Ugandan Community in North America and beyond.” The Ugandan Community in North America numbers over 120,000 individuals.
