Musician and Gagamel boss Bebe Cool who recently staged a mega concert at Serena Hotel has been beaten by fellow musicians in Kireka, a city suburb.
The musician who had a show over the weekend arrived at Victoria bar at 12:30am and found several upcoming artistes performing for revelers.
The ‘Love you everyday’ singer who was in the company of his wife Zuena then asked the organizers to prepare the stage for him to perform. At this point, musician Shamim was performing and Zion was next. Bebe Cool then stood up and demanded that he be given the stage. The organisers of the event asked him to be patient until his turn to perform came.
He refused and forcefully stormed the stage. Fellow musicians then attacked him calling him all sorts of names. Bebe was then beaten as several artistes threw punches at him despite the protection provided by his bouncers. Zuena was rushed to the car by Bebe’s henchmen.
“We are all musicians, how can he think that he can find people performing and just kick them off the stage, it is not right at all. He should have respect for others and wait for his turn to perform,” cried out one of the musicians.
Bebe then attempted to match out in protest, it was only after the manager pleaded with him to stay and perform that he changed him mind.
“I will do it for you, but first Zion must leave this place,” he said.
The Cocodiosis singer who had been paid 500,000shs to perform by the bar owners did a few songs to the joy of revelers. They had been waiting for his performance.
