Kenyan Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o has sparked major controversy among her fans after she shared pictures of her attending a gay wedding.
The montage she shared captured different frames of the ceremony and in one frame, she can be seen enjoying a moment with the newly weds. The picture was captioned,”I witnessed the man who adds so much beauty to my life legalize his beautiful marriage. Thank you for the reminder that love and its declaration can be simple. Congratulations @tedgibsonbeauty.”
Ted Gibson is an African-American celebrity hairdresser in New York city and has worked with major clients including Prada, Zoe Saldana, Renee Zellweger, Anne Hathaway and Kate Gosselin among others. He recently got marriage to his business partner and now husband Jason Backe at a private ceremony attended by close family and friends.
Enraged fans termed Lupita as un-African and condemned the act mostly citing religious text and views, others however were keen to embrace her values and applaud her non-discriminatory ways.
