The new and fully rejuvenated SC Villa is done being a refugee camp for footballers that have been rejected by other clubs. This follows the refurbishment that the famous club has been undergoing in the past two months since the end of last season under which they have elected a new president by the names of Ben Misagga.
SC Villa that had turned into a place of refuge for many rejected players for the past two seasons have now set class for the rejuvenated club. This follows their rejection of former Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) midfielders, Manko Kawessa, Derrick Walubya and Aloro Rogers among others last week. Villa trimmed their squad before heading into camp to prepare for the forth coming season that will kick off on the 22nd of August.
Villa who will be playing SCVU in their season opener are said to have set off for Mitiyana where they will be camping for sometime ahead of the new season as Nakivuboo also continues to be renovated. The famous champions were warmly welcomed by a throng of fans who are eager to see their team play next season in pursuit to revive the lost glory.
The club is set for bigger achievements especially after the club’s president and his committee sent a warning to the club’s head coach Steven Bogele after losing a pre-season friendly against Hoima. The president dared him to lose any friendly game again and he will face the exit.
