It has been 10 years since Ugandan music legend Elly Wamala passed on, but he surely has not been forgotten. The singer has been immortalized through his music.
To celebrate Elly Wamala’s life, several Ugandan artistes have been accorded the rights to redo his music in a project dubbed “Elly Wamala All Stars: A 10 years Tribute.” Among artistes that have been chosen to pay tribute to the singer through music include Dr. Jose Chameleone, arguably Uganda’s top musician, who had this to say about the project; “In celebration of a life well lived, I am honored to be chosen by the Elly Wamala Foundation to redo and revamp his music…”
Others artistes include; Bebe Cool, Irene Namubiru, Radio & Weasel, Chris Evans, Wilson Bugembe, Judith Babirye, Mesach Semakula, Rema Namakula and Elly Wamala’s children.
