The Bweyogerere based radio station Kiis FM that employs quite number of already established media personalities for example Fifi Da Queen of Bukedde T V and Rwamiti of NTV seems to be going through tough times.
Following an order from the Uganda communication Commission, Kiis FM was briefly closed on allegations of mistreatment of its employees. This comes after the workers sounded their alarm and complaint to UCC over the refusal of the Kiis Management to release their salaries for 3 months down the road.
However, as soon as the news of shutting down the radio fell into the ears of the C.E.O and director of this radio station, former Lord Mayor Alhaji Nasser Ntege Sebbagala, he rushed in to save the situation negotiating with UCC not to take him off air. Sebbagala was given a directive to settle the scores with his workers or else the radio would be put off till further notice.
The radio remains on probation awaiting the report from its workers on whether their issues were settled.
