Stella Nanteza the wife to the late Jimmy Katumba is dead. Nanteza died in hospital last evening.
The deceased was very popular in the late 80’s and early 90’s. She first sang with the Ebonies acting group and then left the county with the late husband.
She is survived by two kids, Olga Katumba and Arnold Katumba and they reside in London.
Nanteze lived in London for about 17 years and later moved to USA. However, she has been regularly coming back to Uganda.
Stella was popular for her songs; Muyita Mala, Malaika, Emitima Ejilwadde, Sandukko, Endabulwamu and others.
She was laid to rest in Ggaba yesterday (Sunday, 22nd). May God rest her soul in peace.
Her husband Jimmy Kutesa passed on back in 2006 after a long battle with peptic ulcers. Jimmy is celebrated for his songs like Twalina Omukwano, Drums of Africa and Fa Kukyolina among others.
