Desire Derekford Owarukungiri has landed a mega Urban TV gig. He will be doing a show dedicated to World Cup on Uganda’s only all-English station, Urban TV. He is also charged with presenting sports news on the Urban today breakfast show betweem 6.30am and 7am.
Desire previously worked with UBC TV and Magic FM before retiring at Uganda Broadcasting corporation after seven years of service.
“Worked at UBC 7 years, never was I ever presented with a contract only left with a total of 3 years of unpaid for labour… 3 or less weeks at Urban TV and here I am lying next to sheets of paper that only and only require a signature,” he said about his new deal.
This means that you will be seeing D’zyre on Urban more often. He also presented the last season of Friday Night Lights basket ball that showed on the same TV station.
