Uganda’s hiphop has slowly been trying to penetrate the mainstream and consequently we have seen the birth of several avenues on which individuals can showcase their craft. However, not many have been able to stand the test of time. They withered as fast as they sprouted.
For a moment, I thought ‘End of the Weak’, a promising platform that had started attracting some of the hottest MCs in the game to express themselves had also died out just like the rest of them. But nope, its back!
Perhaps the hiatus was to add a shine to the showcase, we can only hope. Well, enough of the speculation. The next edition of ‘End of the Weak‘ will be held on 7th July at Laba Art festival-Kisementi next to Acacia mall.
‘End of the Weak’, a brainchild of rapper Nellysade who is popular for his Luganda poetic lyricism, lets rappers express themselves through rap battles–innate in the Hiphop industry–as they entertain the audience.
