Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr and rapper TI were involved in a fight on Sunday morning (May 25), after TI’s wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle posted an Instagram photo of herself with Mayweather.
Mayweather, the undefeated world champion of boxing, exchanged blows with TI at a Fat Burger on the Las Vegas strip. The duo threw punches and also chucked chairs at one another, according to TMZ.
TI’s wife Cottle posted the Instagram photo (above) on May 5 and added in the caption: “You already know!!! There’s nothing like being surrounded by ‘THE BEST EVER!!! Champion s**t.” She tagged Mayweather in the picture and included the hashtag #teammayweather.
However, Mayweather denied making a move on Cottle in an interview with celebrity blogger Necole Bitchie, in which he said: “I’ve never slept with her. I never kissed her, never touched her in any inappropriate way.”
Mayweather added that he had previously spoken to TI about the photo but that their first confrontation did not turn violent.
Over the weekend, Cottle posted another photo (below) but with Mayweather’s daughter Iyanna, 14. She wrote in the caption: “Had to come celebrate with my new boo @moneyyaya Happy Birthday bae” and attended an afterparty thrown by Mayweather.
The morning following the afterparty, TI confronted Mayweather at Fat Burger and the two started to fight.
According to Mayweather, the rapper said: “You do it in the ring, I do it in the streets,” to which Mayweather responded: “I do it everywhere.”
Mayweather apologised for telling TI to “control [his] bitch” and added in the interview with Bitchie: “I don’t want to say that about Tiny.
“So I do apologise to Tiny because she cool people. She never been disrespectful to me.”
