Over 200 delegates from the World Association of Zoos and Aquaria, Conservation Science Specialist Groups and technical committees and the African Association of Zoos and Aquaria are gathering in Uganda for the PAAZAB 25th conference and AGM.
The conference is scheduled from 21st to 23rd May.
The delegates will discuss Sustainability in Zoos & Aquaria; How to establish an Insectarium; Animal collection recording by ISIS, and 5 day Enrichment Workshop for Animal Keepers by Shape of Enrichment.
The conference is being hosted by UWEC, which was formed in 1950’s under the Zoo brand name to model the main ecosystem of this country in open range exhibits.
PAAZAB is the African association of zooz and Aquaria affiliated to the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA), the “umbrella” organization for the world zoo and aquarium community.
PAAZAB mission is to have African Zoos and Aquaria internationally recognized as being effective and trusted centres of animal welfare, conservation, education, research and service.
