Fallen radio presenter James Rukundo aka Jimmy Pounds was on Friday laid to rest at his ancestral home in Kashaka village, Mbarara district. Jimmy Pounds suffered a bad hiccup on Tuesday, but his condition deteriorated on Wednesday vomiting blood, and was rushed to hospital, where he was declared dead in the evening.
The late Jimmy was a radio presenter at Radio West. Moses Ateng radio West programs director has described Jimmy Pounds as a talented man. “It is sad radio west has lost a very talented personality who gave his best,” he said.
Jimmy’s untimely death shocked many in the western town of Mbarara as could be seen from several condolence messages from his huge fan base on Facebook.
