Pierce Brosnan who played the 5th James Bond is devastated after losing his daughter to cancer.
His daughter Charlotte Emily lost the 3 year battle to ovarian cancer at the age of 42. The same disease that killed her mother, Pierce’s first wife, 22 years ago. She has left behind a husband and 2 children.
Last night, the actor expressed his grief and also paid tribute to his daughter. Pierce reportedly told PEOPLE, “On June 28 at 2 p.m. my darling daughter Charlotte Emily passed on to eternal life, having succumbed to ovarian cancer.
“She was surrounded by her husband Alex, children Isabella and Lucas and brothers Christopher and Sean.”
“Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl. We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease will be close at hand soon.
“We thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences”
