According to the organisers, 350 million has been collected so far and more is to be collected throughout the fundraising. The Magic of red music concert will see Kofi performing with the likes of Rema Namakula, Jose Chameleone and Grace Nakimera among other Ugandan stars.

The show will go for 30,000shs, 100,000shs and 300,000shs. Corporate tables will go for 2.5 million to 10 million.

Koffi was born on Friday 13 July 1956, in Kisangani, the Democratic Republic of the Congo. His mother named him ‘Koffi’ because he was born on a Friday. He grew up in a middle-class family, without any music background among his relatives. He used to improvise by singing popular songs with his own lyrics and altered rhythms until a neighbor taught him to play the guitar.
