Former Urban TV presenter Joy Kihuguru launched her televangelism ministry last Friday at Hotel Protea. Her ministry called ‘Soaring With Eagles’ will be spread using television and the internet mainly using social media. The event which was attended by the first lady Janet Museveni as the guest of honour and guest speaker ran under the theme “Unveiling the Greatness in You.”
“My journey started seven years ago when The Lord woke me up at 3a.m to have a chat with Him. He told me that I was going to start a Television program called Soaring with Eagles where I would interview Christians that had been strategically positioned in various places to make an impact in the kingdom of God. A year later I started the show and it was very successful.” Joy said in a speech delivered at the event.
In her message, Hon. Janet Museveni, First Lady of Uganda and Minister for Karamoja Affairs emphasized Christian teaching and the Bible. “It is always a pleasure for me to come to a function where a Ugandan is coming forward and attempting to do something new and useful for our society. So, I am happy to be here to participate in the launch of this fairly new ministry called “Soaring with Eagles” which our sister, Joy Kihuguru, feels led to pioneer, in service to her fellow countrymen and women.” She said.
Kihuguru used to host the “Let’s get real show” on Urban TV and was recently ordained as a pastor by Pastor Kiweeweesi.
Pastors Mondo Mugisha, Sasha Kiwewesi, Edwin Musiime and Wiliam Wasaka also attended the launch.
