The monthly get together by Kampala jazz lovers, the Jazz Collective, will take place this Friday at the Grand Imperial Hotel’s Copper Bar to celebrate the life of celebrated South African jazz artiste Hugh Masekela who turned 75 years last week.
The artiste who has been in Uganda several times was previously married to the late South African Mariam Makeba. He is probably best known in Uganda for his song called Coal Train.
