A late solo strike from Javier Pastore helped Paris St Germain to beat Chelsea 3-1 in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.

PSG enjoyed the lion’s share of Possession in the start, they took the third minute lead when John Terry’s poor headed clearance dropped to Lavezzi, who fired a rising left-footed shot past Petr Cech.

But Chelsea levelled matters before the half-hour mark when Eden Hazard converted from the penalty spot after Thiago Silva had carelessly felled Oscar in the box.

Lavezzi had a chance for a second shortly before the end of the first half, but was denied by a Petr Cech save while Hazard hit the post at the other end shortly after as Chelsea pushed for the lead.

David Luiz tried to get out of the way of Lavezzi’s curling free-kick but could only turn the ball into his own net, to restore PSG’s lead.

Javier Pastore , who came off the bench late on , forced his way into the penalty area in stoppage time to drive home from a tight angle and compound Chelsea’s misery.

The French Champions go into the second leg with a two-goal advantage.
