There are nine types of intelligence, but BigEye.ug thinks these here, are the ten most intelligent Ugandans. Intelligence is rarely celebrated in Uganda and BigEye.ug takes this moment to recognize those people who awe us with their intelligence. It can be Natural, Musical, Logical, Existential, or even Interpersonal, Kinesthetic, Linguistic, Intra-personal and Spatial intelligence. So without much further ado, here’s the list.

10. Timothy Kalyegira

This is one guy who’s written many conspiracy stories to give alternative explanations to events that happened and foretold events that will happen. After the July Bombs, he wrote an alternative explanation to the bombs that saw him land in Jail. One article of Timothy Kalyegira is equivalent to 10 years in School. He has logical, existential and spatial intelligence. He is the Ugandan Plato of sorts.

9. Charles Onyango-Obbo

Have you read Ear to the Ground? He probably has no equal in the journalism world at the moment. It’s not easy to hold a conversation with Obbo because you may pass off dumber than you had always thought of yourself. His conversation mates would be people like Wafula Oguttu and Andrew Mwenda.

8. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

It takes brains to lead a country for 27 years. Well, Museveni scores highly on eight of the nine types of intelligence. His musical intelligence is wanting considering that the ‘Another Rap’ hit had one of the worst vocals ever. But all the same, he is number 8 in Uganda.

7. Patrick Bitature

Ever wanted to learn about wealth? Ever wanted to learn it from someone who has done it and can explain it? That person is Patrick Bitature, the second richest man in Uganda according to Forbes. For his financial intelligence, he’s unchallenged at the moment.

6. Fagil Mandy

Talk of Education in Uganda, talk of educationalists like Fagil Mandy. He’s the sixth most intelligent Ugandan.

5. Tamale Mirundi

Assuming you listen to Tamale Mirundi without any emotions, you will agree on one thing, that he is intelligent. He knows how to kick around his audience, how to play around with proverbs, how to move from one scenario to another. When it comes to Politics in Uganda and explaining how events will unfold, he is number 5.

4. Olara Otunnu

Kindly have a dictionary by your side any time you wish to listen to Olara Otunnu. The UPC President is probably one guy who thinks faster than he talks. Even though his emotional intelligence is wanting (he’s a bachelor), his logical and linguistic intelligence is excellent.

3. Amama Mbabazi

We’ve never seen someone bounce from one scandal to another and still be declared the cleanest man in Uganda. Mbabazi knows how to play his cards. Someone once claimed that he’s actually the real brains that run this country.

2. Jose Chameleone

Musically, he’s unchallenged in Uganda. He is the only Ugandan music artiste who can make people to brace the rain just to listen to him perform. Analysts have it that his musical intelligence is around 99.9%. Bebe Cool would have challenged him, but overtime, his musical intelligence has deteriorated.

1. Andrew Mwenda

He is called the ‘Ugandan Socrates.’ When you want to drink from the river of intelligence, then that river is Andrew Mwenda. Some men are thinkers, but a few like Mwenda are actually the thinking itself. His current equal in the world would probably be Nassim Taleb, the guy who wrote the ‘Black Swan.’ Rumour has it, that for the few months Charles Odongtho has hosted Mwenda on NewsNight, he’s been infected with some of this intelligence. Friends to Odongtho confirm that he now thinks on a higher plane. So we thus declare, Andrew Mwenda, Uganda’s most intelligent man. If you can meet Andrew Mwenda for just one hour in your life, then you don’t need to go through school.
