Musician Lil Pazo has urged fellow artists, critics and members of the public to respect Jose Chameleone regardless of political differences and ongoing industry disagreements, arguing that the legendary singer’s name alone carries significant weight in the music industry.

Pazo’s remarks come amid recent criticism of Chameleone by some TikTok bloggers, who questioned his age and argued that he should have built a more established legacy by now. Chameleone has since made several public outbursts in response to some of the criticism.
However, Pazo believes that regardless of the circumstances, Chameleone deserves respect for his contribution to the music industry and the influence he has built over the years.
Speaking about his personal experiences with the Valu Valu singer, Pazo recalled travelling to Sudan with Chameleone and Weasel, an experience that helped him appreciate Chameleone’s influence and stature.
“I moved with Chameleone and Weasel, and Weasel sang well with Radio under Goodlyfe, but we went to Sudan with Chameleone, and that’s when I felt how strong he is. I can never disrespect him or even be in conversations that belittle him,” Pazo said.
The singer further argued that Chameleone’s relevance cannot be measured solely by his release of new music, maintaining that his established name and reputation are enough to command attention.
According to Pazo, Chameleone has reached a level of recognition where his name alone can attract interest, regardless of whether he releases new songs.
“He was the first person to put me on a plane. We reached at the airport and Weasel was there, and I knew he had motion, but when Chameleone was around, we were nothing,” he added.
