Rising Afrobeat artist ACRESS is using his music to deliver a message of hope to young people across Uganda and beyond.
The Congolese-born singer, currently based in Kansanga, Kampala, has released his latest single “I Got You”, now available on YouTube. Beyond the melody, the song carries a powerful message: youth should not give up on their dreams.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the record, the artist said his journey taught him the value of persistence and faith.
“I want to tell the youth to stay courageous and keep working. It can be hard, especially when you are away from home, but you should not give up on what God put in your heart,” ACRESS shared.
The singer anchors his message on scripture, referencing Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you.”
According to ACRESS, whose real name is Joel Magwangasa, “I Got You” was written to remind listeners that even in difficult times, there is a divine plan.
The single continues to build his catalog of Afrobeat fused with meaningful storytelling.
