
The defender scored in Chiefs’ 2-1 win over FC Buffalo last night in the Nedbank Cup round of 16 at the FNB Stadium.
“It feels good to play the entire 90 minutes and come off with one of the goals,” Bukenya told MTNFootball.com.
Bukenya scored early in the game with a header before an own goal from Simphiwe Mtsweni made it 1-1.
Mandla Masango scored the winner for the league champions, who also used the game to prepare for their tricky CAF Champions League tie this weekend.
Bukenya said he is enjoying his time with Kaizer Chiefs and will continue to work hard so that they win silverware.
“This is a great club and the players and technical staff are really nice people,” added the soft-spoken defender, who also featured for Proline FC in the Ugandan League.
The defender, who is not sure if he will be invited for the Cranes team to prepare for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, transferred from Iraq’s Erbil SC last October. David Obua is the other Ugandan player who has featured for Kaizer Chiefs.
