Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards Unveil Exclusive ASFA Honorary Gala Set for 19th December at Serena Hotel

After weeks of speculation and earlier reports indicating a postponement, the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) have officially confirmed a new date and an elevated format for the highly anticipated event.

The awards, originally slated for 12th December 2025, will now take place on 19th December 2025 at the Kampala Serena Hotel under a refined and more intimate concept dubbed the ASFA Honorary Gala.

Event organizers clarified that the postponement was necessary to ensure a world-class experience. According to the team, Kampala Serena Hotel required additional time to complete ongoing renovations, allowing the space to meet the prestigious standards expected of the ASFAs’ new premium direction.

A More Intimate, High-Level Setting

In a significant shift from previous editions, this year’s celebration adopts a smaller, exclusive setup hosted in one of Serena Hotel’s intimate spaces. This strategic change is designed to cultivate meaningful conversations among Africa’s most influential voices in fashion, arts, and culture.

As part of this exclusive approach:

  • Only 200 public tickets will be available.
  • The rest of the attendance will be strictly invite-only, extended to CEOs, cultural influencers, ambassadors, industry leaders, and key stakeholders in the creative economy.

Organizers emphasize that this curated audience will help center the dialogue on the future of the African creative sector among those shaping and investing in its growth.

Ticket Prices

  • General Admission: UGX 250,000
  • Table: UGX 5,000,000

Theme: A Tribute to African Visionaries

The 2025 ASFA Honorary Gala is curated under the theme,

“A Tribute to African Visionaries Shaping the Future of African Fashion, Arts & Culture.”

Guests can expect:

  • Showcases from top local and international designers
  • A grand red-carpet experience
  • Electrifying performances from leading Ugandan and international acts
  • A premium, high-level networking environment for creatives, innovators, and investors

NRG Radio Promises a Power-Packed Experience

Barbra Linda, Brand Lead at NRG, affirmed the station’s commitment as the official entertainment sponsor.

“As partners, we are honored to join a select group of visionaries shaping the future of African fashion, arts, and culture. This exclusivity reflects the intentionality required to move the industry forward,” she said.

NRG is set to stage an iconic show during the gala, with the entertainment lineup expected to be announced next week.

Honoring Legacy, Influence & Vision

ASFAs founder Brian Ahumuza (Abryanz) described the Honorary Gala as a vital step in advancing African fashion.

“The ASFAs have always been a movement. This year, we elevate that movement by honoring the people who built the foundations for African fashion to stand on,” he said.

Joram Muzira, CEO of JMM, echoed similar sentiments, noting that modeling and fashion serve as powerful economic engines. He emphasized that platforms like the ASFAs give African models global exposure, creating ripple effects throughout the entire creative ecosystem.

Adris Digital Africa to Lead Execution

The event production will be led by Adris Digital Africa, renowned for excellence in branding, events, and creative execution.

According to Creative Director Solomon Muleyi, this year’s direction represents “a refined evolution, celebrating depth over volume and honoring the people shaping our future.”
